Visitor Volunteers are taking the museum out into the community

Are you a club, community or school in Bolton? Find out how our Visitor Volunteers can bring the museum to your door.

Bolton Museum and Archive Service's Visitor Volunteers have been delivering handling sessions with fascinating museum objects in the museum galleries for some months and will now be offering exciting new 'mystery' object handling sessions out and about in the local community.

The session explores genuine objects from the museum collection and compares them to their modern day counterpart.

The Visitor Volunteers are a group of young people with learning disabilities who will come out to your venue with a member of museum staff in groups of two or three. The session is fun, exciting and free! We are available to deliver the sessions on Wednesdays.

Please contact Sam Elliot at the museum on 01204 332211 if you would like more information and to book your session.
