Join us at our summer holiday events on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Each event will relate to a particular artwork or painting in the At the Edge exhibition.

Storytelling

Join us for exhibition themed storytelling on Wednesdays in the Exhibitions Gallery from 10.30am to 11am.

Craft Activities

Unless otherwise stated, craft activities on Tuesday and Thursday take place at 11am, 12pm and 1pm in the Exhibitions Gallery.

Craft activities on Saturday take place from 1.30pm – 3.30pm in Learning Studio 1. All activities are free and there is no need to book.

  • Saturday 7 August: Finger painting portraits
  • Tuesday 10 and Thursday 12 August: Op Art weaving pictures
  • Saturday 14 August: Machines from clay
  • Tuesday 17 and Thursday 19 August: Observational drawing
  • Saturday 21 August: 3D sculptures of street furniture
  • Tuesday 24 and Thursday 26 August: Dreamlike landscapes
  • Saturday 28 August: Indian art styles
  • Tuesday 31 August and Thursday 2 September: Wallpaper activity
There’s also a family friendly exhibition quiz for the over and under 6s available in the museum throughout the holidays.
